Yemenite T-34/85 wrecks
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

For those interested,
Found some Yemenite T-34/85s on google earth 1300 meters south west of the town QALASIYA (Socrota Island) which were part of the coastal defence.

Regards

They are not wrecks as I see from your photos...

Relatively complete. I use the following abbreviations in my database;
pre = preserved
std = stored
ins = instructional
wre = non of the above mentioned

Maybe the abbreviation wfu (withdrawn from use) is more appropiate for these tanks.

Google earth is sometimes very useful in finding old tanks, aircraft etc.

Regards,
Lesley
