Sam Winer Motors - Akron, OH - Photo Gallery
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi All,

We have added a gallery of photos from Sam Winer Motors in Akron, OH to our site.
www.vgbimages.com/AFV-...408_zvkm9X

In addition to the usual suspects here - M4A3E9, M5 and M32B1 - I had the chance to see the storage areas filled with all sorts of cool and amazing things!

A sea of tank parts

The astounding sight of over 40 M4 High Speed Tractors……

Two M8 High Speed Tractors

This unknown tractor

I was surprised to see this Prime Mover in the other storage area

Enjoy!

Isn't that bottom one, the front unit from an "Atomic Annie"?

Hi Folks!

That unkown tractor was a M6 HST.
Ref: Hunnicutt's Bradley, pages 20-21.

Spot Report!
Sgt, Scouts out!

The first picture of the two labeled M8 is not an M8 but a prototype T94 built in 1957 by Allis-Chalmers and used the suspension system from the M47 (hence the M47 tracks). What a fantastic find, I always thought military prototypes were scrapped after testing but it seems some that were not destructive in nature were sold to the public. There's an XM194 in civilian use floating around somewhere on the internet.

For more information on the T94 see Fred Crismon's book "U.S. Military Tracked Vehicles" on pp 231
