Delft. Netherlands Army Museum
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

After hearing Michel and Walter I had low expectations for this Museum, instead I end up liking it a lot! It's located in a very fascinating building, an arsenal dating back to 17th century. It kind of reminds me of the old arsenal in Solothurm (Switzerland). Delft is a lovely town too.

There are a few vehicles plus some artillery pieces, within a very modern display. Uniforms and weapons from 17th to 20th century are pretty well covered too.

Flash isn't allowed, light is very poor, with nasty spotlights that get in the way and may even trigger unexpected flares. Light has a pretty strong yellow overcast too. A real challenge both for the camera and photographer.

I published 8 different shots of the TE-KE on Flickr:

I think this may be the best one. It was so dark I had to use ISO 4000 Shocked

There were already 2-3 decent shots of the Type 97 (taken with flash), it was harder for the M4A1E9:

The Otter again, from the other side. That little piece of plexiglass made my life miserable...

We warned you there would only a few vehicle's and bad light, not that it would be a bad musem Mr. Green

Good to hear you liked the musuem.
I think I will make a visit this year because the itention is to close Delft when the new musuem at Soesterberg will open.

This new museum will be a modern one, so no fun for the real vehicle fanatics
I found some desing proposals and it will have a lot of glass, gadgets, toys and such

Michel

Shot RAW+JPEG, then if you have a shot you like or think it can be improved, send me the RAW file and I'll see if I can improve it with postprocessing.
