The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Exhaust T-55. Blowing drops of oil 1,5 meter far when stationary running Revving (sp?) the engine (without smoke generator) Centurion, this one was first located at the Dumoulin Barracks in Soesterberg (NLD), then Seedorf (DEU) and now the Bernhard barracks (cavalry museum) in Amersfoort (NLD)

Yes, it was a very nice day, 28 degrees C and a lot of people. Mostly former conscripts looking for their old comrades. After 14 years I did see my old crew again. Turned out that we now all have children, and live a honest family life. Who had imaged that 14 years ago!! Regards Lesley

The location is the General-Major De Ruyter van Steveninck barracks in Oirschot. The Sherman and Leopard are from the Maaldrift/Wassenaar depot. The T-55 from Overloon. Regards, Lesley
