Swiss Tank Parade Aug 2012
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Swiss Tank Parade Aug 2012

On the last Sunday of August a big parade was held in a small village near Lake Bienne.

The following tanks could be seen driving on public roads: Centurion, Pz 61 and 68, Entp Pz 65, Pzj G13, AMX-13, Leo2 WE and Büffel... The modern stuff came from Panzerbrigade 1, and all the old tanks from the SHP collection in Burgdorf. They made a huge effort to bring all that heavy stuff to the parade. And remember, the Swiss army doesn't have any equipment to transport tanks > 35t, so a private trucki had to be hired...
