New Camouflage?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Germany

In Germany it was (is?) possible to ask on forehand for natural material to camouflage the vehicles. This because they didn't like it when a tankbattalion cut down trees for camouflage.

They dumped it at the desired location (assembly area for example) and then you attach it with (iron) wire. Special loopholes (sp?) were at the turret and hull to attach wire.
I have seen it a lot with the German army and it was also done on the Netherlands Leopards.

Around the barrel you needed to be sure that it was attached properly because of the blast and that you could still use the MRS
