An exM4A4 Duplex Drive saved from scrap to become a monument
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hope it never ends up like the Slapton Sands Duplex Sherman

I have a suspicion that the tar is designed to keep people off of it (and arrest rust, if that works). Awful solution to either concern. Sand blast it and paint it. Maybe get a local school or something to "adopt" it and keep it presentable, while instilling a sense of history and pride.

Nahh...that'll never work.
