Is out - that is a beautiful Valentine 8 photos (one of photos - photo: 5/8 is of factory plate) www.dzienniklodzki.pl/...,id,t.html At the beginning of 1945, when Soviet troops were moving to the west, under that tank broke the ice. The vehicle came down the river near city Warta (district Sieradz, Poland).

I wish they find an M4A2(76) VVSS Sherman next time.

It is a Sherman, but we know no survivor of this particular variant. We know some surviving M4A3(76) VVSS and HVSS, some M4A2(76) HVSS, but not any M4A2(76) VVSS. Some of us would need a full study of that kind of tank in original WW2 configuration.

bialy-r: not 100% sure, but it's can be tank from 57 OTP (Independent Tank Regiment). They lost one Valentine IX in late january 1945 (MIA in documents). If you have contact with, Jacek Kopczyński, i can help with documentation about Valentine IX. By the way - good find!
