M26 Pershing in Mississippi armed forces museum
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: M26 Pershing in Mississippi armed forces museum

from Glenn Husted, Arms and Vehicle conservator, Mississippi Armed Forces Museum, Camp Shelby, MS :

"Please find attached a picture of the recently restored M26 Pershing located at Camp Shelby, MS. There were two here but was donated to another museum in Florala, AL. earlier this year. The picture attached shows our M26 which we believe to be serial number 86. It is on exhibit on the grounds of the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum which is located just south of Hattiesburg Mississippi. This is the same tank that you have a picture of after the cosmetic restoration was completed. I hope that you can use one of these pictures."

the tank before restoration :

That could be Ron Hargrove military collection at his 'World War II Military Vehicle Federation Museum' in Florala (AL)

He have:

M3 half-track
M8 Greyhound
M36
DC-3 plane
some softskins
