Post subject: Yo, Wingnut!

Posting this here as the PM's are moving a bit slow these days....

OK, I'm exceeding my charter a bit here, but call it "designer's prerogitive"...I added a "boathouse" to the dock...large enough to house the Cessna Amphib or a Grumman Widgeon or a Bell 204 on floats. How married are you to that floatplane you were flying and what's the wingspan relative to the Cessna?

This bit is going REALLY well as I had some new "dock" material to work with. Below are preliminary shots....really shouldn't do this "unfinished work in progress thing" but just so's ya' know.

More problematic is going to be the "underground base" thingy. The meadow you chose is not on flat ground...in fact, none in the immediate area are. Also, the "underground" hangar thingy has a HUGE footprint, and a large exclusion area....it tends to cut all the trees in a 2-3 square mile area (why I moved it at the "Pig Sty" from it's original location on the north side of Orcas Is...it denuded the airfield).

I can put one in somewhere, but I'll for sure have to do a "flatten area" and want to do it where it won't interfere too much with the terrain or the other existing sceneries I've uploaded. Ya'll have ta' trust me on selecting a location, and it probably won't be where you first picked. I can't downsize it or the entrances and interior are all wrong can't be aligned well (it's got about 6 api's to the structure, all stacked, gotta' be the same scale and perfectly aligned.

I'll think of something.....

Sweet job! Oh, by the way, two of your security guys were napping about a half hour ago. RacerXXX and I made off with two cases each of your premium reserve Laughing Laughing Laughing

That one looks about right. The plane is the De Havilland Super Otter. Here is the specs that came with the plane. Lenght: 13.9 m (45.6 '), Wing Span: 17.68 m (58.1 ') ,Height: 4.57m (14.99 '). I also like to fly the Bell 205A with floats, though the helos can be set down on any clear ground with enough clearance between trees. I can usually put it where I want it, even with crash detect on. I think that shed you showed there will even house a Chinook. Use your discression on the hidden base. Where ever you can put it is fine. It's mission is also to assist in protecting the brewery, beer convoy routes, and CC Wilderness Camp. I will need a fuel tank, or pump, near the dock for the incoming planes and helos. If you can put one of the small fuel carts, like on the brewery platform by the helo pad, in a clear spot near the cabin, I can land close with the helo and fuel up there too. I just thought of something. Put a small sty by one of the cabins for the JG300 guys, so they can feel right at home. It will be fixed up just for them. Beer taps will be installed in every room, and I'll make sure they are well stocked with supplys for just those occasions that they visit.

I know most of the rest of you are wondering what Ascout is doing. It's simple, he's making me a hideout. Twisted Evil It's a summer/or whenever I feel like it, home away from home, that I can get away from it all, and have a few friends up for a little fishing, camping, and just getting away from the hectic dog eat dog life in the big city. It's near the CC Wilderness Camp and JG300's Micro Brewery, and within an easy flight from the JG300 Pig Stye. All CC and JG300 are welcome at any time to fly on in and visit. I'm hoping to have several cabins scattered around the area for friends to stay in. There will only be landing areas for float/sea planes and Helicopters, so Please limit your aircraft size when you come up. Be aware that the weather may be difficult, especially in the fall and winter, and there are no nav aids. or night lighting. VFR daytime landings only. Bush flying skill is a must. The plan is that all CC will have access to it when he is finished. I look forward to his finished work. Having all of the other areas he's done, I know you won't be disappointed.

The underground base'a problem....she is-a sol-ved!

The "boat house" I am trying to keep to minimum scale up, or it looks awkward. Trust me, it WON'T house a Chinook (though it doesn't have "crash detect", still...don't want to look goofy with rotor blades sticking out through the walls). I'll put a fuel support cart or somethin'....don't want to use the same dock facilities too much (the one with integral pump is already at Wilderness Camp AND the Mountain Lake).

Maybe I'll just put a bunch of 5 gal. gas cans by the shore and make you flight sim nerds get off your butts and carry (*GASP!) your dang fuel...

OOooooOOOOooo....SuWEET!!!

Be sure to check the invoices and vouchers as they come in wingnut!!! Ascout's work ain't cheap, that's for sure, and it's worth it to be sure, but we had some questionable charges racked up when Anomaly Airways did the contracting work for the Pigsty.....of course we were so happy we didn't question any of it......ain't saying nuthin, just sayin'.

Payment has already been arranged, and partially taken care of. I'm still working on the rest. Ya just gotta know what he wants before you make any arrangements. Laughing Besides, part of the construction is going to benefit him in a big way. No more hijacked shipments. Heavy duty armed response with radar vectoring and appropriate equipment. I'm ex-military security and I know what needs to be done to protect resources, like the Micro-brewery. I will have patrols near by, and a ready response team available with fast moving aircraft. I like flying harriers, and helicopters. I have both available plus. I'll not give away all my secrets though. Twisted Evil
