...looky what I found! Know all those classic pics I've posted over the years from the 1970 Bristol ("Thunder Valley") Spring Nationals (the threads for which I can't find now)? Well, it turn out there's about 23 minutes of it on 8mm film, promotion of which courtesy of Schlitz (and an unthinkably abundant amount of it present in the pits in the film). Great footage of Art Scholls' Super Chipmonk, Garlits in the Swamp Rat XIII that had so injured him the year before (his last drive in a FED at Bristol, and of course, he set low ET of the meet). The late Pete Robinsons' SOHC dragster, Sox and Martin, Arfons "Cylclops" and many others. Notice that the only thing resembling a "transporter" is Prudhommes "Hot Wheels Truck, and that because he was an early adapter of sponsorship ("Hot Wheels") while everyone else is in ratty pickups with camper shells on them!

The first 3.5 minutes are of "Great Lakes Dragaway", the remaining 22.5 of Bristol, 1970. I haven't spotted me in the pits yet, but it's long and I'm still looking. Enjoy!
