LTL-H (aka Pz 39). The state of the register
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

What do u mean by "Not accessible"? Last year there were over 4000 visitors. You just have to join a group visit. Very easy to do that. Will be there next week and try to take some pics...

It's not like a museum open to the general public.

Visits to the HSAM Foundation collections in Thun, Burgdorf and Bern are possible in guided groups and by appointment

Places like Wildegg or Schaffausen open just a few days a year, but at least they have a clear schedule, I can read the schedule on their website, be there on the date/time that fits my needs and visit.

As for being "very easy", I asked twice by email in the past, to the address listed on the page above. I wrote in English and never got an answer.

Thun. Army base. R/N 78587
Used as monument inside the base, the R/N indeed looks weird, and it could easily be a mistake

I've got an official army list from 1960. The M+ numbers for 23 (?) Panzerwagen 39 "Praga" were M+78900 - 78922. It looks by then that 1 Praga was already put ouf of service (reason unknown).

M+78587 is a registration number for a Centurion Mk3.

Greetings
Chris

Sincerely JRT

Post subject: dummy weapon

Hi Jiri

I don't have any further information about the dummy gun. All what I know is from Massimo.

Greetings
Chris
