I'm still sputtering around this not too shabby sim but find it near impossible to form up with anyone of substance on my teams! Typically flutter around in a Stuka and scratch the paint on enemy tanks until an F-4 U dives on me... AI tail gunners are far sighted and drunk... So check this link and scope out the game if you're so inclined... they've just released a new patch and squad based system coming tomorrow... Perhaps I'll see you guys up there! And I'll follow up with additional info as I dive into it a bit more!

Cheers Lads,
JG300_Chili_Will

Oh geez that screenshot kinda has me....will download and check out!

I'm not really good for late-night flying sessions these days though, due to workload and some sleep issues (apnea treatment)...will look into it however!

OK I saw the trailer and it looks decent, then I saw there is indeed a FW-190 - so I'm downloading the beta as we speak...

We'll see what we see!

Chili, have you any screenshots to share? Maybe submit one or two to the Member Screenshots thing on the left? Might pique some additional interest, and we're starting to get in need of new content. Wink

Installation is downloading and I've prepped for registering JG300

Well bad news I'm afraid, as far as registering our squad for War Thunder.

It seems the "other" JG300 squad that has been around since IL2 (not quite as old as us though) beat us to the punch, and pre-registered the squad name of JG300 back in April.

forum.warthunder.com/i...wilde-sau/

They're OK folks, at least they were when I talked to their C/O many moons ago, they're made up of eurpoean members mostly.

So...hmmmm....what to do. If there's enough interest in this sim we'll just have to register with a different but still cool name, and yet not easily confused with the other gruppe. Suggestions welcome.

Also, Chili, I am wondering what the pay-to-play fees are. I saw something about "premium membership" and if it takes a subscription to
fly regularly, then that's a critical detail to ponder.

Cool!! I am however having difficulity downloading it. Something about java script is not enabled... I'll keep trying. Since my computer crash I have only the FSX demo to play with since my original discs are somewhere in a box in a storage locker......

1Bullet if memory serves didn't you revert back to Windows XP? Will have to check the minimum system specs, I don't know if this is one of those applications that expects newer operating systems. Just something to keep in mind.

EDIT: Oops, nope, that shoudln't be a problem:

Minimal system requirements
CPU: 2,2 GHz
RAM: 1 Gb
Videocard: Nvidia GeForce 6XXX series or higher; AMD Radeon 1XXX series or higher
Free space: 8 Gb
OS: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7

Recommended system requirements:
CPU: dual-core 2,4 GHz
RAM: 4 Gb
Videocard: Nvidia GeForce 460 or higher
Free space: 8 Gb
OS: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7

Hey things are looking up already...our illustrious squad is in 915th place out of 1,052 squads registered at this point (think this sim is going to be BIG?).
