The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. Is it a 2.5-ton, or a 5-ton truck? The a 2.5-ton Saurer 1CR1D is visually very similar to the 5-ton 4CT1D. Bart Vanderveen describes the former (in The Observer's Army Vehicles to 1940 Directory) as basically a civilian model modified with a radiator brush guard, towing attachments, etc, to meet the military's specs and powered by a 65 bhp 4-cyl gasoline engine. The 5-ton truck had a 6-cyl diesel producing 100 bhp.
If you had a profile pic, it would be easier to tell, based on the length of the cargo bed. from this angle, it looks like it has the shorter bed of the 2.5-tonner.

Not sure that it would work very well on the battlefield, it would probably make the enemy laugh a bit.
