I've just started posting pictures to Flickr covering the Museum in Belgrade.
It has some very interesting pieces, but the building is literally failing apart:

Let's start with a classic:

A sleek, twin-engined prototype. The pilot was in a prone position:

The Ikarus 451 airframe evolved into a twin jet version:

At first glance it may look like a Yak-9, but it's an Ikarus S-49:

I'm absolutely enthralled by that Ikarus 451, particularly the propellor-driven version. Unconventional, sleek, obviously quite small, and had to be an absolute handful with one engine out. But also a very strangely beautiful aircraft in its own way.

I read a Wikipedia article on the series and it was very enlightening. Thanks for pointing out an aircraft type that I'd never seen before in all my long years of being an aircraft fanatic.

Yes, the whole Ikarus 451 series is quite fascinating and not well-know, even among the enthusiasts.

I may have some additional surprising types among the pictures I took in Luzern and Dubendorf (Switzerland) museums too.
