The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The Bison actually entered service with the US National Guard (12 vehicles acquired). It can be distinguished from the USMC LAV family by the different configuration of its exhaust and of course the rear hull roof.
Apparently, at least two made their way into the hands of law enforcement agencies, such as the Nebraska State Troopers and one unidentified SWAT unit.

The Bison entered Canadian service for the reserves at first in 1990 and was called MILLAV, but when they were unable to maintain them, the regular force took them over. They have changed quite a lot since they entered service.....
