Munster. Panzermuseum
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I just finished posting Munster's pictures on Flickr. It's a huge set, 700+ pictures. You can see all of them here:
www.flickr.com/photos/...224296936/

Of course, I still have plenty of additional pictures, those are just a selection, so if you are looking for something more, a specific vehicle or detail, please feel free to ask.
Among other things I have most if not all serial numbers for soviet MBTs and IFVs.

Massimo,

Did they say where that Pzkw IV turret came from? There was a Pzkw IV dug up on the Vilseck US Army post sometime in the 1980s or 1990s, but I think it was only a hull. They also dug up a Hetzer. Does anyone know what became of these wrecks?

Geoff, this is what I have:

Location ID 1650: Vilseck, Germany

- you'll want the 'Tanks Previously Here' section. You were the source of some of the info!

Thank you Massimo and waiting for the photo Sturmtiger.
When is Sturmtiger return to the U.S.?

To my knowledge there is no "return" for the Sturmtiger, it is on loan to Munster from the WTS Koblenz collection.

I believe that's true, but it was orginally from APG which I imagine prompted the question:

Unique ID 85: Sturmtiger

Is this a picture of the beast at Aberdeen?

If so, was this it "In the wild"?

I was back in Munster last week. They are collecting money in order to purchase addition Pz II's parts. I contributed with a few coins Smile
