I found a M59 out here at Yuma Proving Ground that had been used as a target. It's not to badly damaged.
What I would like to know is were do you find the serial# or registration#? I looked on the front hull, tow lugs, on the rear side but I can't find numbers anywhere. It had so much paint on it the numbers maybe covered up so a general location of where the numbers could be would help.

There's an M59 locked within the gates of a shut down factory in Alvin TX, just to te south of here. It gets moved around occasionally, so it's still a runner. They also have a LARC/BARC looked up at the same compound.

My T59, M59, and M59A1 APC photos are posted on flickr account: brick 6757. The ones I posted have a storage compartment on top and it's very visable on the vehicle in the M88 Range. Note that the "yellow" vehicle has a face drawn on it by APG technicians. Rick

I'm going to venture a guess that it's not simple "stowage"....the hatches are larger and more purposeful looking that just some sort of luggage rack. As it's over the main occupied part of the hull, I'm guessing something allowed standing full height (like a command vehicle) or deployed some kind of equipment or effect (like radar or smoke generation). At any rate, something larger than just the hull would allow. The arrangement of the to hatches is...puzzling.

3 more. If looking at the doors on top, they match doors on "box" fixture.
