That's a nice one. Would be interested in seeing what it sold for.

Currently mines up on ramps in the garage. Been getting erratic readings on the oil pressure lately. Was going to pull off the pan and replace the gasket anyways so might as well put in a new oil pump while I'm at it. $28, well worth the peace of mind.

Just hammered at $20K. There were 3 Cougars back-to-back, the high end was a '69 Elliminator with an R code 428 CJ 4-sp car that hit $60K (and that's the drive train...the '67-'68's look SO much better, IMO).

Oil pressure is a good thing to have, good move! Wink

I agree. To me the 67/68 body lines just look cleaner. The black 69 didn't look bad but that white one, Eh. Guess the white just enhances everything I don't like about the 69 body style and the funny thing is my Father had a white 69 Standard Cougar when I was in Elementary School.

Now if I had the money this would be my next Cougar. Another thing I've noticed is the 427 (390hp) / 428 cj (335hp).

GT-E's are super rare...and bring super dollars. Would love to have one, but would it ever get driven?

The '69's ruined everything that was good looking about the car (and it got worse from there). I had a high school buddy with the blue "Eliminator" package, but it was just a heavy cruiser with graphics, really. I hated the "cartoon packages" you started seeing on cars by 1970 ("Judge", "Hurst Olds" after the '68 silver/ black, even the Mach I and Boss 302 cars were just too much tape). Ergo, the stripes came off my Challenger SRT8 before I even took delivery. MUCH better looking now.
