Peruvian tank in Prague
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Guys, I'm really glad to see that Poland and Czech Republic are building very nice collections of their own historical tanks and technologies. Hope that this will continue in the right way !!

P-O

Good news from Poland. We not only rebuilding our vehicles collection but aviation collection too.

On 29th September 2012 there was an official presentation of the 1:1 reproduction of Polish World War II medium bomber - PZL 37B Łoś.
The reproduction was build according to original plans in the same factory that the original PZL 37 where build.
None of those bombers survive the war:(

Dear Colleagues,
I have to point misnomer tank: LTP-38, which often use things ignorant modellers and journalists.

Designation of the Peruvian army reportedly sounded: Tangue 39, another source spoke of the name: Tanque 38/39.

Sales Department CKD gradually used several different designations. The first known designation was "LTL pro Peru" (LTL for Peru), and was followed by the abbreviation "LTL-H pro Peru". Later he took a simplified abbreviation "LTP", which was based on the term: Lehky tank peruansky (Light tank Peru).

Renovation work on LTP is almost done. Also LT vz.38 is currently being overhauled.

The IS2's gun barrel looks as if it's longer than the LTP itself!
Shows what a decade in tank design did.
