One less JS-III monument in Ukraine
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

So I guess the idea of demilling has no Russian translation? I recall this happened during at least a few other Eastern European uprisings with similar monument tanks, too.

A bit like that ISU152 that was started up a few years ago.
Its barrel had a slot gas-axed into it.
Amazing blacksmith engineering, sit it on a pedastal for what, 40 years? and it starts without a complete strip down.

I read somewhere that they are using 122mm ammunition from the D-30 howitzer for it.
Here is a picture of the tank. Painted on the fuel tank is the slogan "To Lvov" (a stronghold of the certain "choir boys").

Costas,
IMO, let's keep the politics out of this discussion - including throwing around the term "Nazis"

Its a fact, not politics. besides, it explains the slogan.

Costas,
Reasonable people disagree on the subject. I could go into it further, but the fact is this is not the place for such discussions.

One could say alternatively that Lvov is a stronghold of Ukrainian nationalists without throwing around such a loaded & charged term. There's also Godwin's law to consider.
