Regrettably, I never had occasion to visit any of those places though I've been to Portugal numerous times and my biz associate there had been a participant in the colonial campaigns in Africa. Political and cultural atmosphere mitigated against what would have been informed visits to those sites. The scars still run deep so my contacts distanced themselves from former military activities.
