Arsenalen
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The main AFV museum in Sweden, it can’t compete with the major collections if you just count the sheer number of vehicles, but in term of quality and facilities is up to the best out there.
In many ways it reminds me of Munster Panzermuseum, just on a smaller scale.

The display, of course, focuses on Swedish vehicles, but it also include foreign designs, with some rare and unique pieces, like Renault NC 27 and Pz I ausf A.

Easy to reach from Stockholm, even with public transport, a small cafeteria and very friendly staff.

It's hard to convey how impressive is this vehicle, especially its length!
With its 51 tons it's heavier than the bulky Swiss Panzerartilleriekanone 68.
It took two decades to fully develop it and only 26 were build (plus one prototype)

Hull layout is kind of like the Elefant, with final drive, then driver, engine and gun/auto-loader at the rear:

You mean the Firefly? Yes, it has an interesting story behind.
I've got a bunch of pictures showing the open engine compartment.

No, sorry, the Director and the whole staff were very friendly, but it wasn't possible to visit the storage area.
