Somebody with a much higher paygrade decided I would be more usefull in Norway. Left on the 3, back on the 29the.

Here in Veghel you easily could imagine you were back in 1944 - a basecamp with hundreds of "soldiers"- visisted by more than 20.000 people in a few days, the old HQ of the 101st AB back in all its glory, hundreds of thousands along "Hell's Highway"cheering the over 500 vehicles on their way to Nijmegen and Arnhem.... The daily flights of the venerable Dakota.....The numerous stories told by the veterans and the Old Folks Who Were There too.... The unforgettable crossing of the river in Nijmegen by the 82nd AB; The king ( and the Polish president) in a small village honoring the brave Poles who came to help the British para's... It was a memorable 70th Memorial. THank you for all the photo's

Did someone take some rear shots of this particular Sherman? We'd like to know if it has only one towing lug per side in the rear Thanks.

thanks a lot Michel, I think that Joe DeMarco will be very happy to see this photo. He told me that only one rear tow lug per side (as opposed to twin tow lugs per side) was used on a few of the final M4A1(76) with VVSS made in December 1944, and all of the tanks built with HVSS. So we are almost sure that this tank was built in December, 1944. Do someone know who is the owner?
