Arsenalen
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The Tiger replica doesn't belongs to the Museum, as far as I know it was there on loan. Stefan may provide additional info.

Yes, the Tiger is a replica (T 55) owned by Global War Museum, bought from GB a few years ago. It has been on display at Arsenalen for a year, but last week it was transported to Norway.

One of these days I will be back, just not that soon Laughing

I was surprised to see a Strv 122, those Leopard 2 are so much in demands these days.

This T 37 was until a few years ago one of only two surviving tanks in the World, the other one in Kubinka.

During the last years parts have been dug up and then restored and now there are some running vehicles, unkown how much of them that is original/reproduction.

The tank at Arsenalen was originally a command tank with antenna, but somewhere (probably in Soviet before 1939 or early days of the invasion of Finland) the antenna was removed. You can see the protection for the antenna on the left side (should be Another one on the right side) and on the right side, under the turret there is a triangular plate - a home made cover for the hole where the antenna was connected.
The pipe in the center of the tank beside the drivers hatch is the pipe for the bilge pump connected to the gearbox.

The tank is in running condition, we made it running a few years ago in order to take part in a Finnish War film, but the film Project was cancelled.

Colour and star is not original, and the flotation devices have been replaced by replica - this was done at the former Tank Museum in the 1970's. When the tank arrived to Sweden in January 1940 it was all White.

Yes, I love that vehicle since I first meet one in Sinsheim.
In Sweden they were used as tractors for light anti-tank guns.
Gunnar Österlund's comments on this one:

Four wheel drive, four wheel steering and two 600 cc 2 cylinder 2-stroke 19 HP engines.
Sweden bought between 400 and 600 of these from the German company Vidal when WW 2 started.

Most of these are 4-seaters
But Bruce Crompton has a 6-seater That is quite rare
