My brother who was, on each occasion, a traffic cop has been at least five of these that I'm aware of.
On one occasion someone pulled out on him while he was driving along the road (in the right direction).
Before the antagonist was aware of my brother's profession he gave him a detailed explanation of why he thought my brother was in the wrong.
After which my brother explained (extremely patiently and politely) who he was and how the guy's explanation had just added five other misdemeanours to the charge he would eventually be called upon to answer and to have a nice day.

I wish I'd been a cop.
