What might these be?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Sorry, no pic (maybe tomorrow if still there when daylight arrives). Had big administrative movement of 20-25 6-wheel vehicles to NG facility close by during the night that has a new "special troops" sign, among others. These were not fighting vehicles, but more like vans. Not HEMTT's, either...a type I've not seen before. Many had cube van-like bodies on back (some sort of support or comms function). There was also a low-boy trailer with a lot of stuff on back that looked like it might erect into a bridge or a tower.

I'll see if still there tomorrow and get pics of at least what units have been assigned.

Any ideas what these might be? Googling for pics of 6-wheel army vehicles mostly brings up old stuff.

Nah, non-combat vehicles, no deep hull. Special Troops battalions are support, so I suspect something like electrical power generation, water purification, comms, etc. The vans were small, maybe too small to stand in. I went over to the armory this morning and the vehicles were gone, but the bay inside was full of cots and personal gear in dufflebags. Not a single soul securing the place, thankfully, I'm an honest man or I'd have a warehouse of camping gear to sell now. Laughing
