GA Veterans State Park - Cordele, GA - Gallery
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi All,

We’ve posted a gallery of photos of the Georgia Veterans State Park and Museum in Cordele, GA. The M3A1 Stuart has SN 7302. The M47 looks like SN 550. I didn’t verify the SN on the M4A3(76) HVSS at the time. The museum placard for the Sherman is nicely done and very informative, however it identifies the tank as an M4A2 with a 75mm. Oops.

I visited those back in 1987. I found the escape hatch was missing from the M4A3 and managed to get inside. I did not climb 'on' the exhibits though!

I only remember the M4A3, the LVT3C and the M47 though. Perhaps they have moved since then. They seem well looked after anyway.
