Received the book "Patton" A History of the American MBT Vol. 1. As in previous reviews, not glossy, softbound. I bought it through a dealer on Amazon at a better price than direct to publisher purchase. The EPBUYER coupon is only good for one book buy (also why I went with an Amazon buy), so use it wisely. Not as good as originals, but affordable.

Recent reprints of books are: Abrams and Pershing. I have original Abrams book, but have ordered Pershing. I used to borrow any of the Hunnicutt books via interlibrary loan (Lancaster, PA library from Carlisle MHI library) years ago. I doubt the Lewes, DE library has same program! Rick

My first Hunnicutt was an original "Patton" bought in the basement "used" section of the now defunct "Cosmic Aeroplane" in Salt Lake City (before I even knew the values of any of these). Price is penciled in on the inner flap...."$25". It makes me feel so much better about what I paid for "Firepower" on the Amazon market (which I'd past up at Sam Weller's bookstore new at original price, also in SLC). Rolling Eyes

Doug, I passed on Hunnicutt books back in the days of originals, too costly. Who'd know that years later they would go for hundreds of dollars! This book came in 4 days, and for the price a worthwhile reference. Now I wait for them to reprint "Firepower". Rick
