VFW Post 842 - Curwensville, PA - M4A3(75)W Gallery
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi All,

We’ve added a gallery of photos M4A3(75)W SN 62268 on display at VFW Post 842 in Curwensville, PA. The AFV Register lists a SN of 48779, but we found S62268 stamped on the right front of the transmission cover.

Paul, I got 48879 off the right tow lug. As a part permanently attached, it's more definitive than the number on the (removable) housing.

well, I also thought that SN 62268 was found on the front diff... as Kurt reported it as being 48879

Correct - I found S62268 on the front diff and Kurt found 48879 on the tow lug. I didn't see anything on the tow lugs when I looked - I thought I already had the SN from the differential so I didn't look closely enough. Oops.
