M3A2 Stuart??
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: M3A2 Stuart??

Was there ever a M3A2? I know the M3A1 is a M3 with a different turret and a turret basket, and that the M3A3 was basically as M5. Was it just a prototype?

Thanks.

Silvio,
RP Hunnicutt "Stuart" page 160 says: "Light tank M3A2 was reserved by the Ordnance committee for the production model of the welded M3A1 with homogeneous steel armor hull". It nor the M3A1E1 project were never built. Rick
