IDing vehicles at the Armor School from the air.
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

That's an M911 with an M747 trailer.

Cheers,

Scott

The M88 doesn't run - yet. The M51 is a former USMC vehicle because they used the M103.

I don't think either M578 runs. Yes they are very useful when repairs have to be done in the yard, but they have a 10 ton crane in the main workshop and they have an airplane tug for towing. Actually they have two, but the other needs work.

Is the M51 the same one that was at Fort Lee?

It was in the Patton Museum collection for many years. I don't know where it originally came from.
