I just got this response to my annual post checking in on the status of the armed forces day live fire demo on the APG facebook page:

"Mr. Baumgardner, there will not be a live fire this year however, we are in the planning phase of incorporating a live fire into our 2017 Centennial Celebration. Make sure you continue to follow us for more information as we get closer to #APG100."

Thanks for sharing. If they do have Live Fire Demo, hope it's for the general public, not just an APG internal event. I'd really like to go there again to see what AFVs they show. Rick

Any updates on the APG live fire? Years ago they had live fire in mid-May. I'd really like to see this happen, and be available to all. Thanks, Rick

I was at Ripken stadium this morning at 6:30am to get the Live Fire show tickets. Hope all other interested folks got theirs too. Really looking forward to seeing this event! Rick

Super interested, but we were at the beach visiting my parents when the tickets were released, and I'm working the weekend of the event anyway. Disappointed to say the least. Have fun, guys!

A great show this morning! Met Bob Smart and his son. Hope that Neil has a good time at the afternoon show. Partial list of AFVs there: 5 M1A2 Abrams, Stryker MGS, 4 other Stryker variants, Various Hummer vehicles, M9 ACE, 3 M88A2 Armored recovery vehicles, and loads of engineering vehicles, and trucks. I took several hundred photos, which will be posted on flickr this week, I'll repost here when they are there. There was also a Russian T72 MBT and BMP-2 there.

My son Tom and I just happened to sit on the bleacher row below Rick. Tom had his GI ball cap with nametag on the back otherwise Rick and I wouldn't have made contact. Rick thanks for the tickets, I didn't make it up to Aberdeen on ticket handout day so I really appreciated the offer
