The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hello Folks,
Does anyone have any idea where Fred's M1917 6T Tank went? It's sort of disappeared? Thanks

That's too bad. It was on that long list of things to do after it was completed. I remember taking pics of it on the floor back in the repair room when Fred took us on tour of his place.

Hi:

We were there about a month ago, and Lani Ropkey mentioned that the M1917 had been "sold to a private individual in Kansas" (don't know whether that was Kansas City or somewhere in the state of Kansas). Furthermore, I believe the museum is now closed (I think that the weekend of July 24-25 was the last time that it was open) and that the collection was being sold/returned (for items on loan).

Very sad, but I understand why it has to be.

Cheers,

Scott

I am sure it went to a Dentist in Kansas, well we have narrowed it down...
