The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

This tank was captured in Lebanon in 1982. Then it was passed over to the Soviets who kept it in Kubinka. It was returned to Israel not that long ago: M48A3 Magach 3 Kubinka by Massimo Foti, on Flickr

Any idea why the Russians returned the M48 above? Was it part of an exchange? It seems a bit of an unusual thing to do!
