Post subject: Rudder pedals

S! Guys,

I was wondering, does anyone know how to or can lead me in the right direction on how to use a brake and gas pedal from a Microsoft Precision driving wheel? as rudder pedals.

It connects to the wheel assy via a phone cord. I picked this up at an auction for a whole dollar Mr. Green

It works great on my driving games, but I know there has to be a way to make them into rudder pedals!!

Thanks

got my kids the MS Sidewinder Precision Racing Wheel last Christmas ....with the same intentions as you Senyu! lol

they love it and use it for the driving games but I've been unable to get it to be used for rudder pedals....my underlying reason for convincing Mrs. Clause that it'd be a great gift under the tree for the boys! lol

I don't know about the MS Wheels, but I've used a Logitech wheel and pedals from a driving game in the flight sims and used the pedals as rudder controls..:D

Your machine doesn't know it's a steering wheel or pedals, just that it's an input device. Once you have the steering wheel and pedals set up, you should be able to assign the function to any button or moving input you want.

In IL2, it'll see them as a HOTAS setup and FS2004 sees them as another input device and you can assign both games to use any part of either one of them. The cool part about doing that is the steering wheel has extra buttons that can be assigned extending your joystick fuctions or making it into one BIG control center... Wink

Let us know if yours works ok...

I also tried the same thing with my racing wheel a while back but my flight sims would refuse to even pick it up... hopefully you have better luck!
