In all honesty I didn't know this one but it seems to me the big "B" has bitten the "B" and pretty much givin the answer.

Now I'm all for being fair but as someone once said, "the Lord helps those that helps themselves".

Not to mention I think I have discovered the perfect way (this contest) to finally get rid of all the stuff cluttering my garage that Goodwill calls junk and refuses to take!

Next up on Fr8ycat's prize list, 1 10 year old freezer (still works) loaded with 2 dead car battery's, 1 bag of cement (got wet and is now officially a block), 10 feet of gutter, 2 closet doors, 1/2 box of floor tiles, 1 bag of thin set, 1 bag of grout and 1 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 (jess seeing if Ascout was payin-tention).

Well I was filled with the Christmas Spirit Mr. Green

Anyway WE HAVE A WINNER

Congratulations Stoopy

Heres the story.
from the Book..."Snake Driver"
I got this information out of the CAF magazine Dispatch

In the late 1960s to the mid 70s Bravo Company the Longhorns, Flew Cobras and Hueys in Vietnam. The helicopter platoon was Rebel, B company, 1st Aviation Battalion, 1st infantry Division. The tie in with the Longhorns and Rebels and then the Confederate Air Force must have seemed like a match made in heaven.

As in all organizations, the platoon organized a ritual. After a pilots first "kill" they were invited by other CAf members in the platoon to join the organization. Said Capt. Mike Trimmer, know as "Sugarfoot" in the platoon there followed an invitation. "There was an initiation into the platoon, sort of a fraternity type thing. How many jalapeños peppers could you consume?

And there was the Rebel Special, a drink or should I say a punch of various alcoholic beverages from various parts of the globe topped of with a raw egg. It was sort of a battleship gray concoction. Of course one could only consume the special if so designated to do, which everyone was, Once you passed the initiation, which most did, a commission was offered as a Colonel in the Confederate Air Force by another Colonel. You could decline or accept. "No sweat" said Trimmer

Those who received their commission into the CAF received certificates from the CAf and wore handstiched rebel flags and CAF wings on their uniforms. The unit was also issued a certificate by the CAF and is hung in the battalions operations office, endorsing them as a CAF wing. The helicopters sported rebel flags painted on the belly or sides. CAF wings, decals sent by the CAF were placed on each side of the rotor cowling or on the side windows of the helicopter.

DISPATCH. The Commemorative Air Force Magazine. Vol 30 NO. 3

Just PM me Stoopy and let me know where to send your prize and thanks to everyone who played. Wink

Yeahh........the plan is coming together allright........heh heh! I'm stuffing this booty in a big red sack and come Christmas Eve I'm gonna have a sudden change of heart. load it up on top of my broken-down sleigh on top of Mt. Crumpet, tie my dog Max to front with a rope and drive it all down to Whoville......

Hey I need a call here.......got a dillemma.

I've won twice in a row on the last two questions without havnig posted a question/prize of my own. I was fixin' to post my question/prize but 1Bullet beat me to it, and now I owe twice. What to do?

A) Run two questions one after the other? We'll have the same problem with two consecutive winners.

B) Run two simultaneous but different questions (A and B)? Could have the same complciation, two winners.

C) Run ONE question and give out TWO prizes? It just so happens that the prize I have picked out for my round is something I have TWO of (no not those, geeze get your mind out of the gutter fer cripes sake!).

Judges? What say ye?
