I have a rather extensive collection of DVD's, and with 4 kids who don't treat them as gingerly as I do I'm always trying to burn back-ups. My DVD Burner came with ULead software for burning but it doesn't work worth a poop..I got so mad at it for ruining 5 DVDs the other day that I completely removed it from my PC..So, now I am in the market for some new software..does anyone have any reccomendations for a good DVD burning program? I've tried a couple downloadable free trials, DeepBurner Pro is one and I'm having issues with it as well..figured someone here might know of a good solid program I could purchase..any help would be appreciated

Personally, I like Nero 6 and it suite of programs. Will burn CD/DVD, has a good DVD playback feature. I only have a single layer DVD re-writer but I would be surprised if Nero didn't support dual layer types. There's plenty more on the market and it's a case of finding the one you like, I'm 'comfortable' with Nero having used it for quite a few years and happy with what it will copy...

I have Nero 6 installed and works a charm also for double layered DVD's ........Nero 7 is just released .......... fled

Nero 7 works just like 6 but with a little better support for dual layer and Mpeg4 plus the eye candy of the program looks a lot better...lol. Nero is the best by far! DVD Santa would be a good second choice. _________________
