I'm not following CFS1 to any of the 'alternative' sites and wish to offer a thank you to the many friends I have mad during my time playing CFS1 on Zone.com. I shall not mention any by name. There is no need. They know who they are.

I started flying CFS1 online August 2001. I was very lucky and found some great people who were more interested in having fun and winning while playing, than just winning for winning's sake. From them I learned not to fly with cheats or the abusive gits who tried so hard to spoil the game for others.

My first teachers were the primates of EW Squad, and then EURO after I joined them in November 2001.
I should like to thank them both for their efforts and entertainment which has continued on Zone.com right up to the final days of CFS1.

Indirectly, but through my association with these great squads, I found myself with access to many other great pilots/players who have also given me much fun and entertainment over the years and I would also like to thank them.

Thank you to everyone who has helped someone else learn a little about CFS1 and remembered that the game is about having fun, and that there is more to CFS than merely winning.

Apart from my more familiar names; EURO_Shades (with various ranks associated), EW_Gordo, and DrRedSkwirrell, I have also variously flown in CFS1 under many other nics. If you've had occasion to curse any or, if you've flown with/against any of the following, and had fun while remaining honourable and true to the spirit of the game, I thank you.

Been great knowing you on the zone Shades ... Man how the years went by eh ? ... lol Though I've said my good-bye's a few year's ago , The loss of CFS on the zone is tough and i will mis the occasional option of signing on and saying howdy . With all that said , I sure we'll cross one another again - ~S` bud been a blast.

And i thought i was being flash with 2 nics .. one uniform one and an "off duty" one.

Shades (or any of the many other names you go by), you are more than welcome to join in on any ip games that SS has in the future. At the moment we've got the sunday missions (quick plug) but i forsee many other occasions when all pilots who have decided to stay off hl & gs will be more than welcome to join us.

On a personal note shades, I'd like to say thanks for all the people you've helped out on the zone (me included) and also for all those that you made to feel welcome and part of the cfs community. And lets not forget all the effort you put in to make the zone a better place for all. ~S~

It has been an honor to fly with most on the Zone and I would not trade the experiance for anything.
CFS1 and 2 are the only games that I have ever played online and I have been a Zone member since 99, and I cannot begain to imagine what it is going to be like without the Zone.
Hopefully we will see most in HL or where ever they choose to fly. If not and these two great sim's pass into history then I will see u guys in another part of the virtual skies (Of course I am refering to the dark side lol).
