The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I've posted some weird stuff but this looks like a joke! There is no way this thing fights anywhere that is not paved, NO off-road ability what-so-ever. What is this?

Nah...more or less recoilless...but I just noticed there's one on the driver's side with what looks like a Browning .30 MG! WTF?

Maybe an urban streetsweeper for parade security or something. Truely a weird design...no matter what you do, the tires are gonna' complain!

Not severe enough for some of those Berkeley demonstrations. Unless loaded with canister.

Hi Folks!

Possible a light weight heavy weapons carrier for very early air assault or airborne ops. Don't forget the French Airborne tried using a motoscooter as a carrier for a RR.

Man, I knew someone would ask where I found this photo! Now I have to divulge the source of my "weird" pictures. Cats out of the bag now! Go to www.strangemilitary.com and you'll find these pictures. There are also catagories for auto's, airplanes, events, etc... I found it by accident but its pretty cool, esspecially the airplanes. Deer run over on run ways, geese crashed into wings, airplanes that hit things while taxiing, all sorts of crazy stuff.
I was serious about finding out where this came from and its purpose, obviously it works somewhere.

This looks likes someone's 'bright idea' that probably looked great on paper (you can imagine the initial pencil sketches on a bar napkin illustrating the concept) but wouldno doubt survive about 15 seconds in combat. Basically, you drive your bazooka man up to the enemy sitting in his outrigger chair - then you die.

Anybody have a guess on what the country of origin might be? Spain? Agentina?
