Turksih PARS 8X8 armoured vehicles
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Turksih PARS 8X8 armoured vehicles
Something a bit unusual for y'all, the new Turkish PARS 8x8 armoured vehicle...............first the standard APC c/w .50cal equipped SWARM turret.......



The same vehicle with SKYRANGER 35mm anti-air turret.............



There are also 4x4 and 6x6 versions, with the latter having a power-to-weight ratio of 27-33 BHP/ton!!! Near-sportscar class............not quite BUT that is fast!

The 8x8 has a ratio of 20-25 BHP/ton which is more the norm with a vehicle like this (ratios vary dependant upon turrets of course).

FNSS is part owned by BAE Systems and the vehicle is developed with General Purpose Vehicles LLC (GPV) of the USA, primarily for Turkish Army programmes but it was unsuccessfully offered for the recent Czech Army project.



Another shot sans any turret.................seems like the basis for the photoshop image of the SKYRANGER!
