Help with an Experimental Vehicle
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Rangers and engineers were still using the 90mm recoilless rifle through the 1980s. I think the last combat use of the RCL was during Grenada by US Army Rangers.


That would make sense. I was thinking primarily of the 106mm, many of which eventually wound up at ski resorts for avalanche control. Ammo shortages for these became in such short supply, that the gov't leased a number of towed artillery pieces out for this application....and then went on a "recall hunt" for a number of these when a shortage of supply owing to developments in the ME made it necessary.

How did the Rangers employ (specifically, mount) their RR's? HMMWV's or man portable?
