History Channel - 3rd Ar Div Show with T 30 Tanks !?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hey all

Just finished watching the History Channels production of "Rolling Thunder- History of the 3rd Ar Div".

Good Stuff (for the most part..)

Actually the most amazing video segment, was the scene of 3 or 4 T30 heavy tanks driving along a range road.

I assume that it was at Ft Knox. Anyone else catch that?

Oppps

I made a mistake on that.

The T-30 tanks rolling down the tank trail, was on the Travel Channel show on Ft Knox.

I watched the 3rd AD show, and then channel surfed into the Travel Channel. Amazing that Tanks seem to pop up everywhere.

There was a segment on the Patton Museum, must have been filmed years ago. All the displays are totally different now.

Sorry for the mistake.

Titled "Fort Knox & USS Washington"?

The USS Washington is a nuclear carrier the length of four football fields that holds 5,000 personnel. Discover how its mission of defense has changed since the events of 9/11. At Ft. Knox, see the vault that holds $3 trillion dollars of pure gold.

Thats the show.

I had seen it before, the gold vault rumors and eyewitnesses to the gold, but didn't realize the T 30 video clip significance.

Perhaps worth the price of purchase of the video (or DVD)?

FYI, the show replays again on Sunday, 3/19 at 9pm - ignore the earlier schedule given.
