Armor and Helicopter losses in the war....
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I'm not sure about the 'quickly back to the F-100' Another source said their fierst show in the F-100D was in September.

I remember one year the T'birds had to cancel some shows because one pilot had an accident and couldn't fly. 1 TFW provided 2 F-15s to do a substitute airshow (all individual manuvers) for several weeks until a pilot from the previous year was recalled and brought up to speed. The Eagle could put on a fantastic single ship show. I know I'm prejudiced but the only show I remember seeing that had the same WOW factor was an RAF 56 Sqdn Lightning at an Airshow at Dulles Airport in 1968 or so. That was back when Dulles was 'way out in the country' and under utilized. That weekend they closed 2 of the 3 runways for the Airshow for the weekend without impacting the commercial schedule!
