hmm... That's a tricky one... though I think I can figure it out. I think it may be, just a guess, the Spruce Goose. Wink

The Spruce Goose is a very famous plane, it's the only one of it's type. It's the largest aircraft ever built. and only ever flew once. It was supposed to be a cargo aircraft during WWII, but it didnt' fly until 1947, and therefore was more of a concept aircraft than anything. It's now housed at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon.

And just to show you how big it is:

Spruce Goose
- Wingspan: 319' 11"
- Length: 218' 8"
- Height: 79' 4"

Airbus A380
- Wingspan: 261' 10"
- Length: 238' 8"
- Height: 79'

Boeing 747-400
- Wingspan: 211' 5"
- Length: 231' 10"
- Height: 63' 8"

Boeing 777
- Wingspan: 199' 11"
- Length: 242' 4"
- Height: 60' 9"

Los Angles Harbor, 1947, very close to the one day Mr. H. pulled it off the water and proved that it could really fly.

The Hughes H-4 Hercules.
Spruce Goose is a name given the plane by reporters which H.H. despised.

After my son posted this I told him it would be easy to identify because it was the only one of its time. Then I pointed out the name at the bottom of the picture and he got embarrassed, haha.
