A fabulously noisy plane too - but sadly retired now. The engine was licence bult by Volvo I think!

There was a gem of a television advert back in the early '80s which showed a Saab 900 car being overtaken by a Viggen...

We almost had the Viggen as standard fighter, luckely for us they decided to go for the F-16.
