Just for a few things that have cropped up in this thread that I've heard courtesy of the usual rumor mills. The 59 M1s are supposed to under go as little "Australianisation" as possible, so apparently the turbine stays, as dose the paint job. Actualy I think the Leopards were the same in that regard although that might have been due to having supplies of non-IR reflective paint. No DU anywhere either in the ammo or armour, your allowed to let the British test a few bombs, mine the stuff, but not shoot it at people. Apart from that they're supposed to be largely stock standard M1A1 AIMs. They might end up with that Barracuda MCS stuff they put on the Leopards since that is pretty superficial, but not much else.

Or so I've heard.

Only very minor changes are being made to the Australian Abrams:

They will run on Diesel not JP-8
They have non DU armour
They all have an Infantry phone fitted as in the TUSK upgrade
They will have a cool drinking water system
They have mounting brackets for crew Steyr rifles.
