This "Caribou" seems to be in sad shape. I have yet to do any real rersearch on any aircraft here, ( time doesn't allow) but I'm wondering if this is an original Black Knights aircraft or not.

This ol' retired skydiver needs to pipe up and point out that it's Golden Knights, Jeff. (I used to jump in North Carolina, and 'Knights fairly "grew on trees", so to speak, over there).

'Bous, and it's bigger sibling, the Buffalo, were the largest fixed-wing able to land on that 3,000 airstrip at FSB Birmingham featured in my thread on Vietnam elsewhere in this section.

I love that phrase about the transfer of the aircraft to the A.F. under an "Army-Air Force Agreement". Makes it sound almost like a "friendly" transfer..... Wink
