Outstanding, Jeff!!!
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Jeff,

many many thanks for your efforts, nothing beats having a man in the field, our man in Ft Useless, so to speak Wink

I'll be at the German Panzermuseum in Munster over Pentecost, so if you guys need anything specific photographed, let me know- 90% of the exhibits are WWII German or Bundeswehr, but the latter does include the US vehicles used by them.

Thanks again,

Jens O.

Jens, do they have an MBT-70? I seem to remember a picture of one floating around in a museum in Germany showing the 20mm AA cannon deployed. I'd be interested in detail shots of this area of the vehicle if
it's there.

Alan,

if the MBT70 is around (memory is a bit fuzzy on that), I've got you covered.

Cheers,

Lesley,

I'll let you know after Pentecost, I have no idea what's at the Army barracks, since they aren't accessible, but I can tell you right away that the armor list for the Panzermuseum isn't quite current- missing the Pz I, StuGIII, Jagdpanther, Hetzer, and IIRC the Tiger is currently not there, either, plus they have a Versuchsträger or two, and I'm willing to swear I haven't seen the T34/76... The problem is, the inventory gets swapped with other museums, loaners are returned, some vehicles go back to the shops etc.

All the times I've been there, the exhibits were never the same, and I've kicked myself in the butt a few times for not getting photos of particular vehicles the previous year.

Cheers,

Jens O.
