The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Well It may have started life as an M-3 Medium Tank but it is shown as an M-31 Recovery Vehicle. Besides the markings on the fendors to give it away look at the '75mm gun' You can see the hinges for the door that was put in behind the dummy gun barrel. Also look at the suspension. It is a later Sherman suspesion with the trailing return roller. The M-3s when built had the return roller centered above the suspension.
